Blade (MCU Reboot)
Blade is the 2025 Marvel Studios live-action feature film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name.
In summer of 2019, Marvel announced plans for the film with Mahershala Ali named as the lead.
Delroy Lindo (Anansi Boys) is in the movie, possibly playing Jamal Afari, Blade's original vampire-hunting mentor from the comics. Also cast are Aaron Pierrre (Krypton), in what is said to be a substantial role, and Mia Goth (Pearl).
Yann Demange (White Boy Rick) was hired to direct the movie in November 2022, with an eye towards a production start in early 2023. At the same time Michael Starrbury (When They See Us, The Hated) was brought on to write the screenplay.
The project had long seen Bassam Tariq (Mogul Mowgli) attached to direct, but Tariq mysteriously bowed out just weeks ahead of the production start.
