Blade Reboot Lands Director
Marvel Studios has taken a major step forward on the Blade reboot in hiring a director, according to a report from Deadline. Bassam Tariq, director of last year's Mogul Mowgli, is in final negotiations to take on the film. Actor Mahershala Ali has been attached in the lead since summer of 2019 when the project was announced. Early this year Stacy Osei-Kuffour (Watchmen) landed in the screenwriter role.
Loki Gets "Immortus" Poster
The social campaign for Marvel Studios' Loki has released yet another character poster. This time we have the big episode six reveal of Jonathan Majors as a character referred to on-screen only as "He who Remains." The character may or may not be Immortus, a future or variant version of Kang the Conqueror.
We know Majors is appearing in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania as Kang. The controversially, impish and unhinged depiction of the character here doesn't completely sync with the imposing Immortus character from the comics but the story that was laid out in episode six does track.
