Marvel Studios: Legends is the live-action Disney+ TV series which recaps the stories of the heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The series is comprised of short episodes which focus on a specific character in the MCU and recap their journey from their first film appearance to the present day. The series was rolled out in early 2021 in anticipation of the wave of MCU-spinoff content hitting the streaming service, starting with Wandavision.
Loki season 2 picks up in the aftermath of the shocking season finale when Loki (Tom Hiddleston) finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius (Owen Wilson), Hunter B-15 (Wummi Mosaku) and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino), Judge Renslayer (Gugu Mbatha-Raw), Miss Minutes (Tara Strong) and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose.
Loki is the Marvel Studios' 2021 live-action TV series for Disney+ based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name.
Tom Hiddleston reprises the role he originated in the Thor film series and continued in multiple Avengers movies. Though the character died several times (and with seeming finality in Avengers: Infinity War) fans know he had an opportunity for further mischief when, in Avengers: Endgame a time-travelling Tony Stark allows a past version of Loki to steal the tesseract. This act alters the fabric of reality bringing him into the crosshairs of Time Keepers, a bureaucratic organization tasked with keeping the timeline intact. Mobius (Owen Wilson) enlists the now-captive-and-not-to-be-trusted Loki in a mission to restore the timeline and set things right.
In addition to Hiddleston and Wilson, actors Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant are among the cast.
Kate Herron, best known for Netflix's Sex Education, handles directing duties. Michael Waldron (HarmonQuest) serves as the head writer of the show.
