Blade Project Regroups
Marvel Studios' much-anticipated Blade movie is back on track, according to a report from Deadline.
Yann Demange has been hired to direct the movie. Demange's most recent feature as a director was White Boy Rick, but he also produced Lovecraft Country for HBO, and directed an episode of that.
The studio has also brought on Michael Starrbury (When They See Us, The Hated) to write a new script for the film.
The movie was to have started production this month, but the project began to unravel when director Bassam Tariq exited the project just weeks ahead of the shoot.

Blade is now looking to start production early next year to hit the scheduled release date September 6, 2024.
