Blade Adds Krypton Actor
Marvel Studios' in-universe Blade film continues to grow its cast. Deadline reports that Aaron Pierrre has joined the roster in an unspecified, but presumed to be substantial, role. Pierre recently appeared in Old, but fans of this site may know him better as Dev-Em on SYFY's late, lamented Krypton series.
He joins Mahershala Ali (anchoring the film as Blade) and Delroy Lindo. Bassam Tariq is directing. Marvel has yet to set a date for the film, but teased the character's MCU introduction in the stinger for Eternals, where Ali's off-screen voice is heard addressing Kit Harrington's soon-to-be Black Knight character.
Kraven Casts Spidey Villain Chameleon
Deadline reports more casting on Sony's Kraven The Hunter spider-verse film. According to unnamed sources, actor Fred Hechinger is set to play Sergei Kravinoff, half-brother to Kraven who adopts the villain identity of Chameleon in the comics. Hechinger is currently getting noticed for his role in White Lotus. He joins a cast that now includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Russell Crowe. J.C. Chandor (Triple Frontier) is directing. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters in January 2023.
