Ironheart Adds Anthony Ramos
Actor Anthony Ramos has joined the cast of Marvel Studios' upcoming series Ironheart, according to Deadline. As is often the case, details about what character the In the Heights leading man playing are not available, but sources say he'll have a large part to play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Dominique Thorne is cast as the lead, Riri Williams, a character that is rumored to be making her debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Chinaka Hodge is head writer. The show is in development for Disney Plus. Ramos' next comic-based feature is voice work in The Bad Guys.
Russell Crowe Boards Kraven The Hunter Movie
Actor Russell Crowe (Man of Steel) is the latest addition to the cast of Sony Pictures' Kraven the Hunter movie. Deadline reports the news but says details of his role are being kept under wraps. The movie, part of Sony's plan to grow their corner of the Spider-verse as much as possible, has Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass, Avengers: Age Of Ultron) in the lead. J.C. Chandor is directing from a script by Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Richard Wenk. The studio has tagged the film with a January 13, 2023 release date, so they'd better start filming soon.
Morbius Gets New Poster
The social channel for Sony Pictures Entertainment UK just posted a brand-new poster for Morbius. This latest is a full-cast image centering on Jared Leto. Emanating out from his figure are waves of his bat sonar ability, which frame cast members Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Tyrese Gibson and Jared Harris. Looming over the whole composition are Morbius' glaring, post-transformation eyes. The film arrives in theaters April 1.
