Kraven Casts Its Calypso
Actor Ariana DeBose is the latest addition to the rapidly-expanding cast of Sony's Kraven The Hunter picture, according to a repot from Deadline. DeBose, who just picked up a SAG award for her turn as Anita in West Side Story, is rumored to playing Kraven's love and partner, the voodoo priestess Calypso. The movie is rapidly casting up having recently added Fred Hechinger to a cast that already include Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the lead. The movie is due in theaters next January.
Euphoria Actor Joins Umbrella Academy 3
Actor Javon Walton is stepping into an unspecified role in season three of The Umbrella Academy. The new comes from a social media post from the official Netflix account. Who Walton, seen recently on Euphoria, is playing is uncertain but we're guessing his character will have some relationship to Emmy Raver-Lampman's character Allison. That's based on the Netflix post staring with the phrase "I heard a rumor...," which is a line Allison uses when she's about to use her mind-altering abilities to plant a thought in someone's head. The new season arrives on Netflix some time this year.
Disney+ Confirms March Availability for Daredevil, Punisher, Netflix Series
Although it has been rumored for weeks, Disney+ confirmed today that the Marvel TV series developed for Netflix will join the streaming service this month.
Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders and The Punisher, all of which are unavailable on Netflix as of today, will resurface on Disney's streaming platform in the US, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand on March 16. Furthermore, the ABC drama Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will join the platform on that day as well.
As the Netflix series had an edgier vibe than mainstream MCU features, viewers will be presented with a prompt to review Parental Controls.
Titans 4 Rolls Cameras
Production on season four of Titans is officially underway. The start was announced on social media yesterday by series writer/producer Richard Hatem.
Hatem posted an image of a clapboard bearing the season four logo for the show, along with episode #401. Nicholas Copus, who has previously worked on Gotham and Arrow is named as the director of the episode. The social post also bears the message, "Aaaand we’re back! First day of production, TITANS SEASON 4!"
The first three seasons of the show are available on HBO Max. No timeframe is given for the release of season four.
Moon Knight Reveals Mr. Knight Poster
The social campaign for Marvel Studios' Moon Knight dropped a another new poster for the series. So far we've seen the title character in his Steven Grant persona and in the classic, cloaked, Fist of Khonshu costume. The new poster puts star Oscar Isaac in the Mr. Knight suit, a latter persona explored in the comics circa 2014. The series premieres on Disney+ March 30.
