When a Superman battle breaks out on campus, young Naomi (Kaci Walfall) rushes to the scene but is overwhelmed by an otherworldly feelings in this first look at the new series Naomi from DC FanDome. The series arrives on The CW in 2022.
Naomi is a 2022 live-action television series developed for The CW, based on the DC Comics character of the same name, created by Brian Michael Bendis and David F. Walker. Kaci Walfall (Army Wives) is set to play the lead role in the series. Alexander Wraith is set to play Dee, a tattoo artist with helpful insights. Cranston Johnson is playing Zumbado, a seemingly dangerous man with a shadowy past. Camila Moreno plays Lourdes, who has a crush on Naomi. The cast also includes Barry Watson, Mouzam Makkar, Mary-Charles Jones, Aidan Gemme and Daniel Puig. In the comics, Naomi journeys to our planet from an alternate Earth to protect it from a destructive force. Producer/director Ava DuVernay developed the show, with former Arrow writer Jill Blankenship serving as writer and executive producer. DeMane Davis (Queen Sugar) is also a co-executive producer and will lead the directing team.
