Jim Gaffigan Joins Stargirl 2
Funny man Jim Gaffigan is set to voice a character in DC's Stargirl season two according to a report from Entertainment Weekly. The comedian will give voice to Thunderbolt, basically a Djinn character, who will appear as a CGI construct. The character, teased throughout season one, is contained in a magical pen, which the holder can click to summon him. The pen was held in the Golden Age version by Johnny Thunder. In modern comics the Thunderbolt is summoned by Jakeem Thunder. Although impish and comedic, the character is actually one of the most powerful members of the Justice Society.
The Boys Moves Up in Weekly Top 10
As predicted, The Boys made a rare upward move in this week's Nielsen ranking of the Top 10 streaming programs. The Amazon Prime series moved from #7 to #5 in the chart for the week of October 5 - 11. The series as a whole enjoyed 752 million minutes of viewing time, up almost 100 million minutes from the previous week. It's rare for streaming programs to move up in the rankings, especially in its sixth week, but this window marked the full release of season 2, which Prime had been dribbling out in weekly episodes. With the second season fully available, it's likely a number of holdouts commenced binging the run all at once.
The top spot went to Schitts Creek for the second week in a row.
