Superman & Lois Adds Degrassi Actress
Stacey Farber is the latest actress to join the cast of the now-filming Superman & Lois series, accordting to a report from The Wrap. Farber, known for her run on Degrassi High: The Next Generation but seen more recently on the Canadian series Diggstown, will play the recurring part of Leslie Larr. The character is described as, "the right hand to one of the most influential people on the planet, she’s gone from a young, idealistic dreamer to a hardened, world-worn dream killer. Athletic, strong… and oftentimes heartless." The Wrap speculates that Larr's boss might be none other than Lex Luthor, played in the Arrowverse by Jon Cryer.
Tim Burton, Smallville Producers Developing The Addams Family for TV
Filmmaker Tim Burton is joining Smallville creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar in developing The Addams Family as a live-action TV series. Deadline reports that the show is being developed by MGM Television with Gough and Millar as head writers and showrunners. Rumor has it the series will be contemporary and likely follow the perspective of Wednesday Addams. Reportedly, the series has interest from multiple outlets including Netflix.
The Boys, Lucifer Hang in Ratings Top 10
Comic based streaming shows The Boys and Lucifer remain in the top 10 of Nielsen's streaming rankings again for the week of September 21st - 27th.
For The Boys, it is the fourth week in a row in the top ten with 703 million minutes of viewing. That's a slight drop from last week with the show now falling to #6. Amazon Prime has been dropping season two episodes on a weekly basis, and it debuted episode six during the current window.
Netflix's Lucifer, which is enjoying its fifth season, tumbled to the #10 spot in its sixth week on the charts. The collected seasons of the show accrued 636 million minutes of viewing time, down significantly from the previous window.
Topping the charts are Ratched and Enola Holmes, both from Netflix.
