Netflix Making Irredeemable Movie

Netflix is developing a live-action feature film adaptation of Mark Waid's comic book series Irredeemable, according to a report from Deadline. Jeymes Samuel (The Harder They Fall) is directing from a script by Kemp Powers (Spider-man: Across the Spider-Verse, Part One).

The film will follow the premise of the comic, which finds a Superman-esque hero called The Plutonian going evil. It'll also incorporate the companion comics series Incorruptible, which finds the villain Max Damage re-inventing himself as a hero in the wake of The Plutonian's turn.

Samuel is producing along with Shawn ‘Jay-Z’ Carter and James Lassiter. Stephen Christy and Ross Richie are executive producers for Boom! Adam Yoelin is also an executive producer.
