Irredeemable (Film)

Irredeemable is a planned Netflix live-action feature film based on the Boom! Studios comic book series Irredeemable and Incorruptible, both created by Mark Waid.

Jeymes Samuel (The Harder They Fall) is directing from a script by Kemp Powers (Spider-man: Across the Spider-Verse, Part One). Samuel is producing along with Shawn ‘Jay-Z’ Carter and James Lassiter. Stephen Christy and Ross Richie are executive producers for Boom! Adam Yoelin is also an executive producer.

The publisher offers this summary of the premise of Irredeemable: "When the Plutonian, the world’s greatest superhero, snaps and turns into the world’s greatest villain, only his former teammates have a chance at stopping his rampage. But while on the run from the world’s most powerful and angry being, will these former teammates discover his secrets in time? How did he come to this? What became of the hope and promise once inside him? What happens to the world when its savior betrays it? What makes a hero irredeemable?"

Incorruptible is a sequel series that follows villain Max Damage who embarks on the heroic path to redemption in the wake of the Plutonian's rampage.
