The Penguin Finds a Director
Craig Zobel has signed on to direct the first two episodes of The Penguin according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Zobel, who is coming off a critically-acclaimed run on Mare of Eastown, has an overall deal with the streamer.
The project recently scored a series order. It's written by Lauren LeFranc (Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.).
Harley Quinn Valentine's Day Special Coming in February

Coming to HBO Max in February 2023, the special will feature Harley and Ivy celebrating their very first Valentine’s Day together, while also revealing how the rest of the ragtag crew spends the gushiest, mushiest, most romantic day of the year.
The voice cast includes Kaley Cuoco, Lake Bell, Alan Tudyk, Matt Oberg, James Wolk, Natalie Morales, Chris Diamantopoulos, James Adomian, Jim Rash, Vanessa Marshall, Janet Varney, Rachel Dratch, Leila Birch, Tyler James Williams, Josh Helman, Casey Wilson, Michael Ironside, and others.
Ben Kingsley to Star in Violent Cases Adaptation
Variety reports that actor Ben Kingsley (Iron Man 3) is set to top-line an adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean's early graphic novel, Violent Cases.
Colm McCarthy is set to direct from a script by Mike Carey. The pair previously collaborated on the smash indie horror film The Girl With All the Gifts.
Camille Gatin, who produced that film is a producer here, along with McCarthy under their Scary Monster banner.
Edmund Kingsley is producing for Lakesville Productions, while Carlos Enrique Cuscó and Ari Taboada produce for Foton.Pictures.
The book is an autobiographical tale of the young author's runaway imagination after he visits an osteopath who used to have Al Capone as a patient. Kingsley is playing the Osteopath.
