Deadline has the latest info on the FX on Hulu adaptation of the DC/Vertigo title Y: The Last Man. Production is underway in Toronto.
FX confirmed the news on twitter with a thread that reveals the complete cast list: Diane Lane as Congresswoman Jennifer Brown, Ben Schnetzer as Yorick, Ashley Romans as Agent 355, Olivia Thirlby as Hero Brown, Juliana Canfield as Beth DeVille, Elliot Fletcher as Sam Jordan, Diana Bang as Doctor Allison Mann, Amber Tamblyn as Kimberly Cunningham and Marini Ireland as Nora Brady.
Eliza Clark (Animal Kingdom) is set as the showrunner.
Stargirl 2 Production Underway
It looks like production on DC's Stargirl, season two is underway. The official twitter account for the show posted a pair of pics featuring Amy Smart and Brec Bassinger with the caption, "They're back in action for Season 2!" The tweet follows Monday's news that the season's primary antagonists Eclipso and The Shade have been cast.
Moon Knight Recruits Director
Mohamed Diab has been tapped to direct Marvel's Moon Knight series for Disney+, according to a report from Deadline. An Egyptian filmmaker, Diab is best known for the foreign film Eshtebak, known in English-language markets as Clash. This follows yesterday's reports that Oscar Isaac is circling the lead role, and Jeremy Slater is writing the series.
