Stargirl Casts Eclipso and The Shade
DC's Stargirl has cast three new parts for season two of the show, according to a report from Deadline. Nick Tarabay (The Expanse) is on board to play the villain Eclipso, while Jonathan Cake (The Affair) has been cast as The Shade. Both characters were teased in the stinger from the season one finale. Also cast is Ysa Penarejo who will recur as an unnamed DC Comics Character. The show is set to return on The CW next year.
Here's the New Batwoman
Although paparazzi images have been leaking online for a few weeks now, The CW has released official photographs of actress Javicia Leslie in the Batwoman suit. Leslie, who takes over the lead role of the series in season two, sports bat armor similar to that worn by Ruby Rose in season one. One big difference is the signature wig which was previously all redhead (matching the comics) and is now black with red tips.
Oscar Isaac to be Christened Moon Knight by Marvel
Fan-fave actor Oscar Isaac is negotiating for the lead role in Marvel's Moon Knight series, according to a report from Deadline. Marvel has also tapped Jeremy Slater, architect of the insanely good series The Umbrella Academy, to develop and serve as head writer on the series. The Moon Knight show was among a slate of announcements of Disney+ projects made last year at D23.
Titans Reveals Season 3 Red Hood
The official twitter for the Titans TV series unveiled the first look at Jason Todd's new Red Hood persona. The character, played by Curran Walters, parted ways with the team in season two. The show does not have a debut date for season three, but it will air on HBO Max, the current home of all content that was formerly hosted on DC Universe. Seasons 1 and 2 arrive on the service November 1.
Tom Holland Message Kicks off Spider-Man 3 Filming
Actor Tom Holland has made waves on social media today, touting his arrival in Atlanta to film Spider-Man 3. "OK, so, we just landed in Atlanta and it's time for Spider-Man 3! Let's Go," the actor exclaimed in his video remarks, apparently posted from an airport tarmac on instagram. Other social media accounts such as the twitter for Everything Georgia, have repeated the video. The film would be Spidey's third outing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Previous announcements place Benedict Cumberbatch and Jamie Foxx in the film as Doctor Strange and Electro respectively.
