Y: The Last Man
Y: The Last Man is the 2021 FX on Hulu live-action television series based on the DC/Vertigo comic book series created by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra.
The book details the odyssey of Yorick Brown, the last male human left alive after a global event kills all men on the planet, leaving it inhabited by women.
As of October 2020 FX has announced the complete cast list as Diane Lane as Congresswoman Jennifer Brown, Ben Schnetzer as Yorick, Ashley Romans as Agent 355, Olivia Thirlby as Hero Brown, Juliana Canfield as Beth DeVille, Elliot Fletcher as Sam Jordan, Diana Bang as Doctor Allison Mann, Amber Tamblyn as Kimberly Cunningham and Marin Ireland as Nora Brady.
Production on Y: The Last Man started October 2020 with Eliza Clark as the showrunner and executive producer.
The series debuted on FX on Hulu in September of the next year. It was canceled one month later, before all the episodes had been released. At the time, Clark vowed to find a new home for the show so that it could continue, but by January of 2022 the producer admitted defeat, announcing the show was officially over.
