Y: The Last Man Series is Officially Over
Fans of last year's Y: The Last Man TV series on FX on Hulu were dismayed to learn of its early cancellation last October. However, at the time, showrunner Eliza Clark vowed to keep things running and find a new home for the series so it could continue into season two. Yesterday, Clark took to social media to let fans know the fight is over and the series will not be returning.
"For those of you who have been asking me: we tried really hard to get another platform to pick up season 2 of [Y: The Last Man]. But sadly, it doesn't look like it's going to happen," Clark begins in a lengthy social media thread. She goes on to discuss her emotional investment in the series, how difficult the cancellation has been, and her gratitude for everyone who made season one happen. Batgirl Full Costume Reveal
Actor Leslie Grace dropped left a gift for fans on social media last night, posting a photo with the full costume reveal from the Batgirl movie. The suit is a riff on comic book artist Cameron Stewart's design from the comics with a coloration that easily evokes Yvonne Craig's suit from the 1960s Batman series. Grace's social post also came with a tweet from the Batgirl: Year One comic.
Grace leads a cast that includes Brendan Fraser, J.K. Simmons, Jacob Scipio and Michael Keaton. Bad Boys For Life directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are directing from a script by Christina Hodson. The film is expected this year on HBO Max.
