Batman Spinoff Series Loses Showrunner

TV creator Terence Winter has parted ways with the planned TV series spinoff from The Batman according to a report on Deadline. Winter, known for developing HBO fare like Boardwalk Empire, was set to write and serve as showrunner for the Untitled GCPD Series that was being developed for HBO Max with Matt Reeves, writer/director of the movie. Winter has bowed out over what are said to be "creative differences."

The show is still in development and will serve as a prequel to the movie, detailing crime and corruption in Gotham City in the Year One of the masked vigilante's career.
