Green Lantern Series Casts Alan Scott
Actor Jeremy Irvine is the second actor recruited to join the corps of HBO Max's Green Lantern TV series. Deadline reports that Irvine is set to play the first character to bear the name: Alan Scott. The show will apparently span decades as the comics have. This is the second major casting for the series, which is being written by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Seth Grahame-Smith. Finn Wittrock was cast as Guy Gardner just a few weeks ago.
Batman: The Long Halloween Part Two Gets Release Date
Warner Home Video has announced the release dates for Batman: The Long Halloween Part Two and has revealed the cover art for the film. Fans can get the film from digital services on July 27 and on disc August 10. The movie stars Jensen Ackles, Josh Duhamel, Billy Burke and is the second half of a two part film. Batman: The Long Halloween Part One arrives on June 22.
Batgirl Film Gets Bad Boys Directors
The directors who revived Bad Boys for Life last year are now at the helm of the Batgirl movie, according to a report from Deadline. Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah have taken the helm of the project which has a script from Christina Hodson. Hodson wrote the Birds Of Prey film, which featured Cassandra Cain, but word is this movie will tell the story of Barbara Gordon. The movie is being done as an HBO Max feature with Kristin Burr producing.
Wednesday Addams Show Casts its Lead
Netflix has announced via social media that actor Jenna Ortega (You, The Babysitter: Killer Queen) is set to play the lead role in the new series Wednesday. The show follows The Addams Family's favorite daughter as she starts prep school at the mysterious Nevermore Academy. The announcement features a photo of Ortega with a script for episode one, which bears the names of writer/producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar and director Tim Burton. The threesome are producing the new series.
Bruce Timm Set for Batman: Caped Crusader
Animation Legend Bruce Timm is set to produce the new series Batman: Caped Crusader, it was announced today by WarnerMedia. Timm is working with J. J. Abrams (Justice League Dark) and Matt Reeves (The Batman) to create a new vision for the Dark Knight detective. The show is a joint effort by Cartoon Network and HBO Max.

Warner Media has announced a two-season order for a new animated series called My Adventures With Superman. The show focuses on twenty-somethings Clark Kent (Jack Quaid), the bright and driven Lois Lane (Alice Lee), and their best friend Jimmy Olsen as they begin to discover who they are and everything they can accomplish together as an investigative reporting team at the Daily Planet. The series is being done in partnership between Cartoon Network and HBO Max.
