Black Widow Keeps May Release Date
The delayed Marvel Studios movie Black Widow is still set to arrive in theaters in May, according to a report on Deadline. Disney CEO Bob Chapek confirmed the May 7 date in a shareholder call conducted today. There's been speculation among fans and journalists that the movie would suffer another pandemic bump, but so far the Scarlett Johansson pic is staying the course.
Slam! Comics to Be Animated on HBO Max
HBO Max is developing an animated series based on the BOOM! Studios comic title Slam!, according to a report on Deadline. The Roller Derby-themed comic, created by Pamela Ribon and Veronica Fish, details the relationship between two best friends forced to compete with one another when they're drafted to different teams. Ribon, an accomplished screenwriter on films like Moana and Ralph Breaks the Internet, is adapting the story for TV. The animated series is said to be employing rotoscoping and 3D animation. Rooster Teeth Studios, BOOM! Studios and Minnow Mountain are producing.
Zack Snyder's Justice League | Cyborg Poster
Director Zack Snyder has tweeted out the final character poster for the upcoming release of Zack Snyder's Justice League. The last poster gives us Ray Fisher as Cyborg. The four-hour movie event arrives on HBO Max March 18.
