Trailer for The Suicide Squad Drops Tomorrow

Updated: 3/25 at 4:30pm PT with new poster.

Director James Gunn has alerted fans that a trailer for his sequel The Suicide Squad drops tomorrow. He didn't offer much more than that, but Warner Bros. is apparently pretty excited about this second try at the franchise. They greenlit an HBO Max spin-off series based on John Cena's Peacemaker character, which is already filming. The movie arrives August 6.

A short time later, Gunn tweeted out a brand new poster for the film featuring stars Margot Robbie, Cena, Idris Elba, Joel Kinnaman and others, evoking the feel of key art for films like The Dirty Dozen.

The series, in its seventh week of release, nabbed the #2 spot on the "Original" chart for the period of February 22-28.
