Trailer for The Suicide Squad Drops Tomorrow

Director James Gunn has alerted fans that a trailer for his sequel The Suicide Squad drops tomorrow. He didn't offer much more than that, but Warner Bros. is apparently pretty excited about this second try at the franchise. They greenlit an HBO Max spin-off series based on John Cena's Peacemaker character, which is already filming. The movie arrives August 6.
A short time later, Gunn tweeted out a brand new poster for the film featuring stars Margot Robbie, Cena, Idris Elba, Joel Kinnaman and others, evoking the feel of key art for films like The Dirty Dozen.
Justice Society: World War II | Cover Art
The social campaign for DC Universe Movies has released the cover art for the upcoming Justice Society: World War II animated film. The poster features the core JSA: Wonder Woman, Hawkman, The Flash, Black Canary and Hourman, plus the modern day Flash who has time-traveled to their era. The film arrives on digital April 27 and on 4K Ultra HD May 11.
WandaVision Climbs to #2
Marvel Studios' WandaVision climbed higher on the Nielsen Ratings than ever before in the latest reporting of numbers. The series, in its seventh week of release, nabbed the #2 spot on the "Original" chart for the period of February 22-28. With eight episodes available on Disney+, the show as a whole attracted 732 million minutes of viewing time. That's just a 1.67% gain for the show, which continuously built buzz during its run.
It was #2 to Netflix's Ginny & Georgia.
Avengers: Endgame continued to enjoy its WandaVision bump, climbing up one spot to the #9 spot on the "Movies" chart for the same period. It saw 105 million minutes of eyeball time, which is actually a decrease over the previous week.
Batwoman Casts Its Black Mask
Deadline reports that the Batwoman show has cast the role of the Black Mask for the current season. Peter Outerbridge (Nikita) is set to play the villain, who is at the head of the False Face Society currently popping up in the show. Reportedly the villain has an axe to grind with The Crows and is motivated by revenge on that organization.
Zack Snyder's Justice League | Black and White Edition Debuts
The black and white edition of Zack Snyder's Justice League is now available on HBO Max. According to the announcement tweet, "For years, the [Snyder Cut] existed in black and white and shown only to a select few. Zack Snyder's Justice League: #JusticeIsGray, a black and white version of the film, is now streaming on [HBO Max] in 4K UHD, HDR10, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos on supported devices."
