Slam! (TV Series)

Slam! is a planned HBO Max animated TV series based on the BOOM! Studios comic book series of the same name, created by Pamela Ribon and Veronica Fish.

The comic publisher provides this synopsis for the series: "Jennifer Chu and Maise Huff (aka Knockout and Ithinka Can on the track) have been best friends since their first day of Fresh Meat Orientation for the Eastside Roller Girls, but when they get drafted for two different teams they’ll have to figure out if the bond between them is stronger than the pull of a team when a win is on the line."

Ribon, an accomplished screenwriter, is adapting the comics for TV. The animated series is said to be employing rotoscoping and 3D animation.

Rooster Teeth Studios, BOOM! Studios and Minnow Mountain are producing.
