Terry Crews to star in JumpStart
Actor Terry Crews has been cast in the lead for the CBS pilot based on the comic strip JumpStart.
Deadline reports that the actor is set to play Joseph L. Cobb a police officer and family man.
Crews is well-known to readers here for his turn as Bedlam in Deadpool 2 and for a recent appearance on Tales of the Walking Dead. He also starred in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine for eight seasons and was a key player in The Expendables film series.

The Penguin Adds Four
A pair of casting stories in the trades name four more actors for the upcoming HBO Max series The Penguin.
Deadline reports that Theo Rossi is set for a recurring, but unnamed, role in the series. Readers here remember Rossi for his portrayal of Shades in Luke Cage.
Then, Variety lists three more names for the cast.
Michael Zegen (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) is rumored to be playing Alberto Falcone, part of the Falcone crime family that was lead by John Turturro's Carmine Falcone in The Batman. Alberto becomes The Holiday Killer in the landmark comics series Batman: The Long Halloween, though it's not clear this series will be touching that storyline.
James Madio (The Offer) and Scott Cohen (Billions) are also cast in unspecified roles.
The actors join Colin Farrell, who is reprising the title role from the film.
HBO Max has not set a release date.
