Titans Promises Trailer Drop Tomorrow
The social campaign for Titans promises a full trailer for season three arriving tomorrow. The tweet comes with an image of Anna Diop in Starfire mode and the simple caption, "royalty. trailer tomorrow." It has been almost a month since we saw the teaser with its Joker-on-Robin violence. The new season starts August 12 on HBO Max.
Don Cheadle is as Puzzled About Emmy Nom as You Are
Actor Don Cheadle picked up an Emmy Nomination earlier today in the "Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series" category for his work on The Falcon And The Winter Soldier. We called it a "head-scratcher" due to the fact it represents less than two minutes of screentime for the actor, who reprised his role as James "Rhodey" Rhodes (aka War Machine) in the first episode of the show. The brief, walk-and-talk appearance didn't call for a wide performance range from the talented actor, not did it feel like scene-stealing moment.
Cheadle has responded to the nom on social media and, well, he's just as puzzled as the rest of us. Here's the tweat.
Deadpool and Korg React to Free Guy
The long-delayed 20th Century Studios video-game pic Free Guy arrives in theaters next month. To hype the overdue release, the studio created a trailer reaction video featuring stars Ryan Reynolds and Taika Waititi, who play the hero and villain in the film respectively. However, the two comedic actors did the segment in character as their Marvel counterparts Deadpool and Korg. Enjoy four minutes of two of the funniest entertainers doing their MCU best. Free Guy arrives on August 13.
WandaVision Scores 23 Emmy Noms
The Television Academy has announced the nominations for the 73rd Emmy Awards. Comic-based fare made a strong showing but none as strong as Marvel Studios' WandaVision. The show scored nominations for "Original Limited or Anthology series," for stars Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany and Kathryn Hahn and for the song "Agatha All Along," to name a few.
The next biggest comic-based winner was season two of The Boys with five nominations. That series also got a major nod in the "Outstanding Drama" category as well as a song nom for "Never Truly Vanish."
The Falcon And The Winter Soldier and The Umbrella Academy were tied with four nominations, including a head-scratcher for Don Cheadle's brief and uneventful turn as Jim Rhodes in the former.
Finally, Lucifer and Doom Patrol were nominated for single awards.
