Daily Blast: Spider-Man Finds No Home at Oscars

Spider-Man Finds No Home at Oscars

The nominations for the 94th Annual Academy Awards were announced today in an early-morning live-stream. Fans who thought they'd wake up in a world of accolades for the box-office juggernaut that is Spider-Man: No Way Home now find themselves in a parallel universe where the film is almost completely shut out from Oscar consideration.

The only nod for the Spidey epic is in the Visual Effects category. It competes for that nomination with one of Marvel Studios' other films from last year: Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Aside from those two nominations, no comic-based fare received a nod in any category.
