Spawn Reboot Hires Writer
The long-gestating reboot of Spawn has landed a writer, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Brian Tucker, who recently wrote Broken City and is working on a reboot of The Fugitive, has reportedly been hired for this film by Blumhouse Productions who is developing the project. Comics creator Todd McFarlane is producing and also hoping to direct the film. Jason Blum and Carla Hacken are also producing.
Shang-Chi Gets Cool Real D and IMAX Posters
3D vendor Real D has added another poster to the collection of images promoting Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. This one is another character collage, but done in a wash of blue and red. Then IMAX released one with a similar painted look. Both posters gives us our best look yet at the mystical dragon that appears in the movie who is looking less-and-less Fin Fang Foomesque, as well as a second winged dragon. The movie opens in theaters September 3.
Marvel Studios' What If...? Releases T'Challa Star-Lord Poster
The social campaign for Marvel Studios' What If...? has released another new poster for the series. This one features T'Challa as Star-Lord. Late actor Chadwick Boseman voices the remixed version of his Black Panther character in his last performance before his untimely passing. The episode streams on Disney+ August 18.
Venom 2 Gets New Posters
The social campaign for Venom: Let There Be Carnage has released a two new posters for the film. The first one features the two title characters locked in combat with one another. The second is a classic split headshot. The posters also touts the just-announced release date of October 15. The accompanying social post informs us that the film will only be available in theaters on that day.
