The CW Not Moving Forward with Wonder Girl
Back in November, news broke that The CW was developing a TV show called Wonder Girl based on the newly-created DC Comics Future State Latina version of Wonder Woman aka Yara Flor. Now, writer/producer Dailyn Rodriguez, who was developing the series with Greg Berlanti, has tweeted out that the series is not happening.
"So some sad news. For all of those asking, Wonder Girl is not getting picked up at the CW. I was very proud of the script I wrote," Rodriguez wrote. "Wish I could’ve shared the world I created, but unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be. Thanks for everyone’s enthusiasm. It meant a lot to me."
Captain Marvel 2 Casts Its Villain
Zawe Ashton (Velvet Buzzsaw) has been cast as the villain in Marvel Studios' upcoming Captain Marvel 2, according to a report from Deadline. The report is not specific about which character she is playing and could not confirm the casting with the studio. Nia DaCosta (Candyman) is directing the film. Megan McDonnell is said to have written the script.
Second Pre-Trailer for Zack Snyder's Justice League
Zack Snyder has posted a second pre-trailer snippet for Zack Snyder's Justice League on social media. This one features a pretty good look at Darkseid, flanked by what appears to be his Apokolips henchmen Desaad and Granny Goodness. The actual full trailer will drop on February 14. The movie/mini-series arrives on HBO Max March 18.
