Renée Elise Goldsberry Joins She-Hulk Cast
Renée Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton) is the latest addition to the cast of Marvel Studios' She-Hulk. Deadline reports she'll be playing a character called Amelia. Details about the character are scarce but the article refers to it as a co-starring role, which could mean a villain turn. Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) is playing the lead role in the series which will also have appearances by Mark Ruffalo and Tim Roth.
Black Adam Adds Bodhi Sabongui
Young actor Bodhi Sabongui has joined the cast of Black Adam, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Sabongui, who had a recurring part in the series A Million Little Things, is said to have a "key" role in the production, which the article states is being kept secret by New Line. The movie has been casting up members of the Justice Society of America, so it could be he's playing a character like Jakeem Thunder, but we'll have to wait and see. The film starts production this month with an eye on a July 2022 release date.
WandaVision Drops to #3
WandaVision begins its downward fall in the latest Nielsen Ratings "Original" streaming content chart. For the period of March 8th-14th, the show dropped from #2 to #3. The series nabbed 388 million minutes of viewing time, which is a whopping 58% decrease from the previous window. This period represents the first week that the Disney+ show did not roll out a new episode so the reduction isn't surprising.
Netflix's Ginny & Georgia, which held the #1 spot for the third week.
On the Streaming Movies chart for the same period, The Dark Knight continued to rank, thanks to its availability on Netflix. It dropped to the #9 spot with 157 million minutes of viewership, a 10.8% reduction from the previous week.
Cast and Crew Set for Asterix 5
The fifth film in the Asterix & Obelix film series will roll cameras this spring, according to Deadline. Asterix & Obelix: The Middle Kingdom will star Guillaume Canet as Asterix, Gilles Lellouche as Obelix, Vincent Cassel as Cesar and Marion Cotillard as Cleopatra. Also appearing are Ramzy Bedia, Julie Chen, Linh-Dan Pham, Pierre Richard and soccer star Zlatan Ibrahimovic as Oneofus. Canet is directing from a script by Philippe Mechelen and Julien Hervé.
