Morbius Bumped Once More
Sony Pictures has rescheduled the Spider-Man spinoff Moribius once more. Deadline reports that the film is now slated for January 28 of 2022. Like many modern films, this one has suffered numerous rescheduling in the face of industrywide shutdowns and delays due to the pandemic. It was originally due July 31 of 2020, moved to March 19, 2021, bumped again to October 8 2021, rescheduled for January 21, and now has a week added to that date. The only good news for fans is that the studio's position is that Morbius is a franchise-starter and they don't want it going the video-on-demand route.
Secret Invasion Adds Killian Scott
Actor Killian Scott (Dublin Murders) is the latest addition to Marvel Studios' Secret Invasion series. Deadline reports that the actor will join the cast, led by Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn, in an unspecified role. The comics series that the Disney+ show draws its name from featured Nick Fury unravelling a global conspiracy that had the shape-shifting Skrulls replacing key figures in world society.
CW Releases First Image From Naomi
DC Comics has released the first image of actor Kaci Walfall as the title character in the upcoming series Naomi. The image is actually a recreation of the cover to the first issue of the Naomi comics which was drawn by Jamal Campbell. The show is currently in the pilot stage at The CW but has plenty of heat on it with Ava DuVernay producing.
Green Lantern Series Casts Guy Gardner
Actor Finn Wittrock is set for a starring role in the HBO Max Green Lantern series. Deadline reports that the American Horror Story and The Big Short actor will play hot-headed space cop Guy Gardner in the show. Gardener was one of two people called to Abin Sur's crashed spacecraft that fateful day. However Hal Jordan arrived first and became earth's hero, leaving Gardner as and embittered runner up. He remained powerless until he was later granted a ring of his own. Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Seth Grahame-Smith are developing the series.
Lucifer 5b Gets Poster Art Ahead of Trailer
With the social campaign for Lucifer campaign has posted a new poster today for fans. The key art arrives ahead of the season 5b trailer which is promised for later today. The new poster features actor Tom Ellis who is now in the dual role of both the title character and his twin Michael, each framing a neon sign which reads "Sin and Sinner." The new block of episodes arrives on Netflix May 28.
