Untitled Arkham Asylum Series

The Untitled Arkham Asylum project is a planned TV series for HBO Max set in the same world as the 2022 film The Batman.

In a March 2022 interview, Matt Reeves revealed that plans to expand The Batman are moving forward. At the time he said there are two series, one of which is the Penguin origin series. The other Reeves said is one that "connects to Arkham." 

At the time, it was unclear if the Arkham-connected show might be the same as the long-discussed GCPD series. However Reeves subsequently revealed later that the GCPD series had been put on the back burner, confirming that the Arkham series is a separate project.

The Batman producer Dylan Clark is also producing. The show is coming from Reeves’ 6th & Idaho production company in association with Warner Bros. Television.
