Untitled Superman Reboot

The Untitled Superman Reboot is a planned live-action Warner Bros. feature film in development based on the DC Comics character Superman.

A February 2021 report indicated that work was underway on this project from screenwriter Ta-Nehisi Coates and J.J. Abrams. Coates is a journalist noted for advancing a woke and identitarian view of modern society, and Abrams has not been shy about advancing woke causes in his work.

The operating theory on the internet is that this film would focus on the Calvin Ellis character who exists on an alternate Earth in which the hero is also President. The character was created by Grant Morrison and first appeared in the Final Crisis comic book series. Other reports indicate that this may be a simple Clark Kent reboot.

Subsequent reports confirm that the studios is seeking a black lead and black director for the project.
