Val-Zod Pic In Development with Michael B. Jordan / HBO Max

Deadline reports that HBO Max is working on a Val-Zod movie with Michael B. Jordan producing. There's no word on whether or not Jordan would star as the recently-introduced Superman of Earth 2. Darnell Metayer and Josh Peters (Transformers: Rise of the Beasts) have been tapped to write the script for the film. Elizabeth Raposo is also producing for Jordan's production shingle Outlier Society. Stefano Agosto would oversee the development for Outlier.

This is apparently a separate project from the J.J. Abrams/Ta-Nehisi Coates project that was announced earlier in the year.
