Report: Patty Jenkins Quit Wonder Woman 3
The Wrap followed up on a report from earlier in the week that revealed Warner Bros. Discovery had mothballed the Wonder Woman 3 project, and suggested it was due to the shift in direction of the newly-founded DC Studios.
The Wrap, citing "multiple sources", indicates that it was director Patty Jenkins who walked away from the film and the reasons had nothing to do with the vision of James Gunn and Peter Safran, co-chairs of the new studio.
According to the report, Jenkins received negative feedback on the treatment she developed with Geoff Johns. WB Film Group's Co-Chairpersons Michael DeLuca and Pamela Addy were not feeling the new treatment and asked Jenkins to go back to the drawing board with a new story idea.
Allegedly, Jenkins pushed back on the notes, was ultimately unwilling to retool her vision and decided to move on to other projects.
Finally, the report indicates that the studio is still keen on the franchise and wants to keep Gal Gadot in the role for another film.
