Jared Leto to Reprise Joker in Snyder's Justice League
Jared Leto will appear as The Joker in Zack Snyder's director's cut of Justice League, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Multiple sources place Leto on the set of currently-filming additional scenes. Also involved with recent additional photography are Ben Affleck, Ray Fisher, and Amber Heard.
MGM Lights up Mercy Sparx Development
MGM has obtained the film rights to the comic book Mercy Sparx according to a report from Deadline. Newcome Nick Shafir has developed a take for the screenplay based on the Devil's Due Publishing comic by Josh Blaylock. Blaylock will executive produce the film. Other producers include Jack Heller of Assemble Media and Alex Heineman and Andrew Rona of The Picture Company. Blaylock serves as executive producer with Assemble’s Scott Veltri.
Superman & Lois Rolls Cameras
Production on Superman & Lois is now underway, according to a tweet from series headline Elizabeth Tulloch. The message, posted earlier today reads, "DAY ONE - 7 months after we were supposed to start filming the pilot but it was worth the wait." The series, spinning off from the Supergirl TV series was announced to air January of next year on The CW. It's unclear if it'll keep that timeline given the delayed production start.
