Gissette Valentin Joins The Walking Dead: World Beyond
Actor Gissette Valentin has joined the cast of The Walking Dead: World Beyond. Deadline reports that Valentin will join season two in a recurring role as Corporal Diane Pierce and up-and-coming military operative who has the respect of the higher ups. Sounds to us like she's with the CRM. AMC has not yet scheduled a release date for season two.
Aquaman 2 Rolls Cameras
Cameras started rolling today on Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom. The event was marked by an instagram post from director James Wan showing the a clapboard from the production set inside what looks like an ice cave. The board bears a logo with the word "Necrus" but the caption on the social post is "Day One. #aquaman2." The movie stars Jason Momoa, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Pilou Asbaek and Amber Heard. It's currently scheduled for release late next year.
Dougray Scott Exits Batwoman
Actor Dougray Scott will not return to Batwoman for its third season, according to a report from Deadline. Scott played Jacob Kane, top gun at Gotham's private law-enforcement service The Crows and father to the former series lead Kate Kane (Ruby Rose, and then Wallis Day). As season two wraps with The Crows disbanded and Kate's storyline concluded, Jacob serves less storytelling purpose, according to showrunner Caroline Dries.
Harry Connick Jr. Joins Annie Live! Production
Actor and crooner Harry Connick Jr. is the latest lead cast in NBC's holiday production Annie Live! Deadline reports that the Independence Day vet will play Daddy Warbucks in the Little Orphan Annie redo. He joins Taraji P. Henson who'll be playing the unscrupulous Miss Hannigan. So far the lead role has not been cast. The live perfomance will air on the network December 2nd.
