Marvel's Hawkeye Cast Expands
Set reports from the recent week have revealed that filming is underway on Marvel's Hawkeye series for Disney+. Those reports place actor Jeremy Renner on set with Hailee Steinfeld, who is playing next-gen archer Kate Bishop. Now Variety reports that Vera Farmiga, Florence Pugh, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Alaqua Cox, and Zahn McClarnon are all among the cast for the new show.
Pugh is, of course, reprising her role from the Black Widow movie. Farmiga is set to play Bishop's mother. Fee is likely playing the vigilante known as Clown. Dalton is said to be playing Swordsman. Cox is playing the Daredevil ally (and original Ronin) Echo. McClarnon is likely playing Echo's father.
Fear the Walking Dead Books Seventh Season
With season six at the midpoint, AMC has gone ahead and greenlit a seventh season for Fear The Walking Dead. The news comes in the form of a tweet with the message, "The past is dead... but the future is bright. #FearTWD is coming back for a 7th season." Season six posted its mid-season finale in November and will likely return in February when the parent series, The Walking Dead, resumes its extended tenth season.
The Suicide Squad and Every 2021 Warner Movie to Go To HBO Max
Warner Media has announced they'll be following the Wonder Woman 1984 model, and release all their 2021 titles on HBO Max the same day they arrive in theaters. Deadline reports that this will impact the comic-based film The Suicide Squad (due in August) but also The Little Things, Judas and the Black Messiah, Tom & Jerry, Godzilla vs. Kong, Mortal Kombat, Those Who Wish Me Dead, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, In The Heights, Space Jam: A New Legacy, Reminiscence, Malignant, Dune, The Many Saints of Newark, King Richard, Cry Macho and Matrix 4. The article does not mention Black Adam, which was due in December, and that may be an indication the film is rescheduled for 2022.
