Mercy Sparx Film Hires Writer
It has been over a year since we've heard anything new about MGM's feature film version of the Devil's Due comic Mercy Sparx. Now, Deadline reports that Laura Kosann has been tapped to pen the adaptation. Kosaan is said to be a rising star, as the recipient of the Academy Nicholl fellowship, with two of her scripts hitting the 2021 Black List. She replaces Nick Shafir who was the screenwriter on the project since late 2020.
The comic, created by Josh Blaylock, details a demon sent to Earth on a mission, but finds herself in a moral quandry over completing it.
