Fantastic Four (MCU Film): Theatrical Release

Fantastic Four is the 2025 Marvel Studios live-action feature film set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and based on the Marvel Comics concept of the same name.

The film was announced during the December 2020 Disney Investor Day event. Jon Watts, director the massively crowd-pleasing MCU Spider-Man series, was initially set to be at the head of this franchise relaunch. However, by April of 2022 Watts had parted ways with the project.

An August 2022 report indicates that Matt Shakman (WandaVision) is in talks to direct the film. This was later confirmed at the D23 event.

Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer are writing the script for the movie.

The film would be the fourth attempt to bring Marvel's first family to the big screen.
