Fantastic Four Hires New Writer

Marvel Studios' in-development Fantastic Four pic has a new screenwriter, according to a report from Deadline.

Josh Friedman is set to take over scripting from outbound writers Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer. Friedman is known to readers of this site for developing the much-loved Snowpiercer TV series.

The movie has had a bit of a bumpy development process, with Matt Shakman (WandaVision) sitting down in the director's chair after Jon Watts (Spider-man: No Way Home) exited the project last year.

Fantastic Four is currently slated for theaters in February of 2025.
