Venom: Let There Be Carnage is Sony Pictures Entertainment's 2021 sequel to the 2018 box-office hit Venom, both based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It is the second film in the Venom film series.
Tom Hardy returns as Eddie Brock, the guerrilla journalist who has bonded with the alien symbiote giving him a monstrous alter-ego call Venom. As was teased in the original film, Woody Harrelson is on board to play Cletus Kasady, a serial killer who is undergoes his symbiotic transformation into the even-more-dangerous villain Carnage. Naomie Harris appears as an inmate at the Ravencroft Institute for the Criminally Insane, who likely morph's into Shriek. Michelle Williams also reprises her role as Anne Weying.
Andy Serkis directs the film from a script by Kelly Marcel, who co-wrote the original. Hardy developed the story with Marcel.
