As was teased in the original film, Woody Harrelson is on board to play Cletus Kasady, a serial killer who also bonds with a symbiote and becomes the even-more-dangerous villain Carnage. Naomie Harris also stars as a woman confined to the Ravencroft institute who likely becomes the symbiote villain Shriek. Michelle Williams also stars.

Andy Serkis is directing from a script by Kelly Marcel, who co-wrote the original.
