The Flash Film Adds One, Subtracts One Cast Member
Deadline reports that actor Mirabel Verdu has joined the cast of Warner Bros. live-action film The Flash. She'll be playing the role of Barry Allen's mother. The same article reports that Billy Crudup has dropped out of the film. He was set to play Henry Allen, Barry's father, which he had previously signed on for in Justice League. Crudup is said to be busy with other projects.
Tiffany Haddish Developing Mystery Girl for Netflix
Tiffany Haddish is set to star in a feature film adaptation of Mystery Girl for Netflix according to a report from Deadline. The actor is also producing the project under She Ready Productions banner. McG is on board to direct and also produce. Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg of Dark Horse Entertainment (the publishers of the comic) are also producing. The series was created by writer Paul Tobin and artist Alberto J. Albuquerque, and centers on a psychic Los Angeles street denizen named Trine who finds herself framed for murder after agreeing to work with a failing LAPD cop on a case.
