Extraction Film Series
The Extraction film series is a cycle of films based on characters originating in the Oni Press graphic novel Ciudad by writer Ande Parks and artist Fernando Leon Gonzalez, from a story by filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo. It consists of Extraction and Extraction 2 so far.
The Russo brothers, coming of a red-hot run of films for Marvel Studios, converted their comic vision into the most-watched Netflix original film up until that time. Chris Hemsworth stars in the franchise as the character Tyler Rake, a troubled mercenary given a shot at redemption. The success of the film prompted instant talk of a sequel, in spite the main character's apparent death.
