Extraction 2 is the 2023 Netflix live-action feature film based on the character Tyler Rake introduced in the Oni Press graphic novel Ciudad by writer Ande Parks and artist Fernando Leon Gonzalez from a story by Joe and Anthony Russo. The film is a direct sequel to Extraction and is the second film in the Extraction film series.
After barely surviving the events of the first movie, Rake is back as the Australian black ops mercenary, tasked with another deadly mission: rescuing the battered family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from the prison where they are being held.
Chris Hemsworth returns as Rake.
Also returning is Golshifteh Farahani. Other cast members include Adam Bessa, Daniel Bernhardt and Tinatin Dalakishvili.
Sam Hargrave returns as director. Joe Russo wrote the screenplay.
