Disney Reschedules Dr. Strange, Thor and More
Disney has set new release dates for many of its upcoming movies, including all of Marvel's 2022 and 2023 slate, according to a report from Deadline. The reasons seem to be related to production delays prompted by the ever-shifting pandemic which stopped and started filming on projects throughout 2020 and 2021.
Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness is moving from March 25th, 2022 to May 6th. That date was previously held by Thor: Love and Thunder, which will now hit theaters on July 8. This means Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will move on to November 11th, which bumps The Marvels (formerly Captain Marvel 2) from that date out to February 17th, 2023. Finally Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania vacates that date and moves to July 28.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is said to be keeping its previously-assigned date of May 5, 2023.
