Umbrella Academy 3 To Film In February
Netflix's adaptation of the Dark Horse Comics title The Umbrella Academy has been a breakout success for the streamer. It will come as no surprise then that the series has been greenlit for the expected third season. The news came via twitter today, from the show's official account, along with the news that production begins in February of next year. Season two aired this summer and topped the Nielsen charts for two weeks in a row. That season also ended with a provocative lead-in for a new storyline.
Henson Company Developing Hagar The Horrible for TV
Deadline reports that The Jim Henson Company is teaming with King Features to develop an animated sitcom from Dik Browne's comic strip Hagar the Horrible. Eric Ziobrowski (Fresh Off the Boat,American Dad) is set to write and produce the show about a slob of a Viking who balances sacking and pillaging with the demands of modern fatherhood. Henson will employ their proprietary Henson Digital Puppetry Studio, which allows Henson puppeteers to steer animated images in real time.
