Sharon Stone to Menace Blue Beetle
Actor Sharon Stone is rumored to be the villain in Warner Bros' upcoming Blue Beetle film. Deadline reports that she'll be playing a character called Victoria Kord. Presumably that means she's linked to Ted Kord, the second Blue Beetle in the DC Universe, and predecessor to the film's Jaime Reyes. Xolo Maridueña is set to play Reyes.
This one be Stone's first foray into the DC Universe. She was also the villain in 2004's ill-conceived Catwoman feature.
Warner Bros. is aiming for an August 2023 release for Blue Beetle.
The Umbrella Academy | First Look: Viktor Hargreeves
Actor Elliot Page has unveiled a first look of their character as they appear in season three The Umbrella Academy. The post includes the caption, "Meet Viktor Hargreeves," revealing the new name of the character. Page started the series as Ellen Page and her character at the time was called Vanya Hargreeves. After season two, Page underwent transition and adopted the masculine name Elliot.
It's unclear how the series will incorporate the transition and change in physical appearance, but it should be difficult for a the fantasy series' fluid reality. The new season arrives June 22 on Netflix.
Clark Gregg, Michael Aronov Board Snowpiercer 4
Actors Clark Gregg and Michael Aronov are set to join the cast of Snowpiercer season four. TNT made the announcement yesterday afternoon ahead of the season three finale. Gregg is, of course, well known for playing Agent Phil Coulson in numerous Marvel movies and on the long-running Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series. Aronov has appeared on The Blacklist and The Americans.
The show also has a new showrunner in Paul Zbyszewski who has worked on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Helstrom. Production on season four began yesterday
