Helstrom (TV Series)

Helstrom is a 2020 Hulu Original TV series based on the Marvel Comics character Daimon Hellstrom (a.k.a. Son of Satan)

As the son and daughter of a mysterious and powerful serial killer (Elizabeth Marvel), Helstrom follows Daimon (Tom Austen) and Ana Helstrom (Sydney Lemmon), and their complicated dynamic, as they track down the worst of humanity — each with their own attitude and skills.

Helstrom is created for television and executive produced by Paul Zbyszewski along with Karim Zreik and Jeph Loeb. Helstrom is co-produced by Marvel Television and ABC Signature Studios, part of Disney Television Studios.

In spite of the popularity of the Marvel brand, the series was met with apathy by fans and was panned by critics for having dull characters. It was also the last effort by Loeb's Marvel Television group, with control over TV production shifting to Marvel Studios, who planned to develop a slate of series linked directly to the phenomenal movie line. The series was cancelled quickly by Hulu just a few months after it debuted.
