The social campaign for Marvel Studios' Loki, has released a new character poster for the show. This one features Sophia di Martino in full Asgardian garb. The character she's playing is a bit of a spoiler, so we'll refrain from naming it here for those who haven't yet watched the second episode of the show. New episodes of the series stream Wednesdays on Disney+.
Watchmen Producer Boards Marvel's Silk Series
Although it has been a while since we first heard about Sony Television's ambitious plans to expand their Spider-Man license into a universe of TV shows on Prime Video, Deadline now brings news that those plans are moving forward. Producer Tom Spezialy, who was an executive producer on HBO's Watchmen series has signed an overall deal wit Amazon Studios, and first order of business is to move the adaptation of Silk forward for the streamer. According to the report, he'll serve as executive producer and showrunner. The project is being overseen by Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Amy Pascal is also an executive producer.
Shazam 2 Director Shares New Costume Photo
UPDATED June 22: In the story below, we incorrectly identified actor Grace Fulton, here playing Hero Mary, as Michelle Borth. In the previous film, Fulton played civilian Mary while Borth played the transformed version. Apparently Fulton will play both versions in the new movie. Official sources have not cited a reason for the switch.
David F. Sandberg, director of Shazam! Fury of the Gods, has released a new cast photo revealing the costume upgrades for the Shazam family. The photo features Adam Brody as Hero Freddy, Meagan Good as Hero Darla, Ross Butler as Hero Eugene, Zachary Levi as Shazam, Grace Fulton as Hero Mary and D.J. Cotrona as Hero Pedro. The movie, and recent DC Comics, have dropped the use of Captain Marvel, Marvel Family and similarly realted terms in referring to the concept and characters. The film is currently in production and slated for release in June of 2023.
