Laurel Marsden Joins Ms. Marvel at Disney+
Actor Laurel Marsden has joined the cast of Marvel Studios' Ms. Marvel, according to an article on Deadline. She'll be playing Zoe Zimmer, classmate and sometime schoolhouse foil for titular character Kamala Khan (played by Iman Vellani). The series is already filming episodes in Atlanta and is due on Disney+ later this year.
The Flash Movie Casts Its Supergirl
Actor Sasha Calle has been cast in the role of Supergirl for the upcoming DCEU feature The Flash, according to a report from Deadlne. She's best known for her current run on The Young and the Restless. The actress won the part after the studio considered over 400 actresses for the role. The film, directed by Andy Muschietti, will reportedly delve into the Flashpoint storyline, and offer alternate takes on the DC Universe, including multiple versions of characters like Batman.
Muschietti revealed the news to the young actor in a touching video chat posted on social media today:
